Overall rating of this office:good morning~ why should it be impossible to speak to a live employee of my government in this office? yesterday i was informed that my wait on the fone to speak to somebody would be 55 minutes!! after 25 minutes of wasted time, i had to hang up. there is no way to leave a message. outrageous. it is ridiculous that my tax $$$ are being spent to facilitate this ss office, and yet i am unable to reach anybody working there. is anybody working there?? this needs to be addressed at the highest level of my government. it is not an unusual situation just today, but is the norm for the office. at 8:59 a.m. i dialed the ss ofc phone number, which is said to open at 9:00a.m., after using my time to answer the same questions i will have to repeat later, no doubt, i was told that my wait time is 55 minutes... really??? you see, this really is the norm. what is the problem???

update... i wrote an unfavorable review concerning a social security office--and i stand by the problems i encountered. however, there was one redeeming factor. somehow, during my last attempt to reach a live person in the office near my address, i was given the option of somebody calling me back, rather than me hanging on the phone for 1 hour... i received the call exactly as promised in 1 hour/20 minutes! the call came from an office not even in my state, overflow, and i was able to get my very brief business done--finally. i am believing the area office has nothing to do with it, and staff is subject to be answering calls from other states, as well. i dont know it, but now think that has to be the answer...
