no local phone number to make appointment with... hold time one hour.
The local office is closed. When I go on-line, it says I can change my SS card online and to call the local office. All they lisy is a national number, who just tells you to call the local number, but there is no local number. Nice job SS! Hope you're enjoying your paid vacation.
Absolutely horrible customer service!! The lady was so rude. I got married and wanted to keep my maiden name as my middle and she did not even ask. Handed me the paper and said your card will be in the mail in 2 weeks. I told her I wanted to keep it as my middle name and she was so rude and nasty and made me feel like an idiot and I just left and I’m so upset because my name isn’t how I wanted it now.
