Overall rating of this office:I am trying to make an appt. for my disabled brother at the Palos Hills office. I am unable to talk to anyone to make this appt. I have been on hold for 45 minutes. When I did talk to someone I was on the phone 45 mnutes and still did not get an appt. This department is inept and does not service the community it should serve. Janet Sheerin. [email protected]
Someone used my name, address and social security number to claim my social security benefits last year from May 2017 through August 2017. I reported it to social security and met with a representative explaining that I am still working full time and did not sign up for my benefits at any time. I had a police report made out for the case of fraud and filled out paperwork at the Chicago Heights social security location and was told that it would be investigated. I did not hear back from the social security representative and assumed it had/was being taken care off. I have tried to reach the representative that I met at the Chicago Heights office for over a week, leaving a message each time with no return response received. I received a letter in the mail dated July 19, 2018 stating that I owed social security the total sum which was stolen from my account. I would like to talk to or meet with someone who could correct this mistake. I do plan on retiring at the end of 2018 and would like this issue resolved as soon as possible.
