called the office. On hold for no more than possibly 30 seconds. Spoke to David. He knows his stuff and explains it well; clearly cares about helping people navigate through Social Security and Medicare processes and procedures. Great job David. Appreciated your help. Thank you.

My son and his Dad went to our local office (Saginaw) so that my son could turn in his appeal forms. They were treated very rudely by 2 men who work there. My son was made aware that his benefits were terminated, he never received any notice of this when he requested that they be continued while he was appealing. The woman that he spoke to never told him he had 10 days to return some paper. When he told these 2 men that they said "that's the 800 number they are always getting stuff wrong" if you are aware of this then why would you tell people to call this number? My son is agoraphobic, has social anxieties, high blood pressure, weighs 415 lbs, pancytopenia, depression and numerous other afflictions. So now because YOU people decided he is no longer disabled, he is suddenly healed by your authority? I thought that was why we are appealing this case, to get an answer from an ALJ.

The directions were very good although I drove from Millington to the Saginaw office on a Wednesday based on the hours posted on-line only to get there just before noon to locked doors! Apparently on Wednesdays the office closes at noon. It sure would have been nice to know before I made the trip for nothing...
