While the address on this website is correct - the directions are incorrect, the directions relate to the previous address within HSBC plaza. As this is the first hit when you google "social security office rochester NY" I would consider updating this as the office was moved 3 years ago. (I work in the lobby of the HSBC building and I see 1-3 people daily asking where SSN is, updating this might help this as by the time they get in the door they've already paid for parking and cannot be refunded)

i have misplaced my daughter's social security card and need to get a replacement. She is 16 years old. Can you please let me know what paperwork I need to bring with me and if I can do it on my own, or if she needs to be present? I also would like to know how long the process takes in the office so I can properly arrange child care for my other children. I would also like to know if after proving my identity, will I be able to have access to the SS# as it is needed for a college application or will I have to wait for the document to be mailed. Thank you for all of the information.
