Overall rating of this office:I applied for social security replacement cards for three clients easily enough. I was told they'd arrive in 2 weeks. It's been almost 2 months and I called the 800 number to inquire about not receiving them and was told to go backt to the office and reapply and inquire there as to why they hadn't come. NOT Helpful!!!
Upon arriving at the office, I almost did not go in because of all the cars in the lot. However, I was able to sign in and was waited on fairly quickly. Since I only had a couple of questions and wanted to verify some information I had received from previous calls to the main SS offices, my visit only took a few minutes. I was very impressed with the attitude of the guard (Mr. Jacobs) - he was helpful to everyone & made light of situations when he needed to ask everyone to take a seat or please lower the level of volume in order to hear the speaker system. He joked with man of the people & even gave a couple of the kids a clipboard with drawings to keep them busy.
The lady who helped us was also really friendly, nice and very helpful. I wish I had asked her name so I could send in a compliment about her! If the offices do read this review, she was at window #12 the morning of Jan 28.

Fantastic staff in the Anchorage office. I have been working with them for several years and they have always been professional and helpful.
