Unbelievable! This office believes that they are doing you a favor by answering the phone. My claim has been "pending" for no reason for more than a week. It's not possible to speak to a supervisor. This office does no actual work. Waste of tax $$.

Been trying to make an appointment for the past two weeks been calling the number. NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE ON HOLD FOR HOURS!!!!!!!

This office deserves zero stars. You can't get anyone to answer the phone and are on hold for hours. If they aren't going to get with the rest of other businesses who are conducting business, then they should at the very least, have a way for people to make phone appointments. People still have business to take care.

called 4 x's & each time when call was picked up by person (after the music & wait) each time I listened to either a family fighting & cussing, next was people talking (but not to me), third time heard people & kids talking & getting upset & last time heard either tv, or person talking about white supremacy & Obama & lots of other stuff on this subject for 37 minutes & hung up (each time I was hung up on). How am I supposed to get resolution with my Social security issues? This is no way to run a government agency! I hope there's another person answering phones tomorrow as I only accomplished NOTHING that needed to be taken care of & this is abuse of my taxes paying someone to pretend to work!

My daughter called the number for the Temple, Texas office to try to get her deceased husbands information. There isn’t a rating low enough for the treatment she got. She was treated with rude disrespect. They were both retired teachers so she isn’t a dummy. She was told his records had been destroyed. When she had a problem with the string of numbers the lady finally rattled off she was asked if she was stupid and then if she was jacking with her. My daughter has had a problem focusing since her husband’s death and doesn’t deserve that kind of treatment. I think your office needs a course in how to treat the public. If I knew who it was I would try to have her fired.

The SSI office in Temple, Texas is terrible. I was calling on behalf my mother in law. First held on line for about 20 minutes at one point the phone rang and rang and right after said try my call later. I dialed right back and held for another 15 minutes and guy picks up and says he can’t hear what I’m saying and said call back. Well he hung up on me and when I called back the message stated office was closed because it was 4 PM. He obviously didn’t want to help…so now I have to call another day to get my mother in law the help she needs. On top of that…my mother in law filed an appeal 5 months ago and they told her it was taken care of and her SS benefits would be adjusted…she still hasn’t seen anything. This office is ridiculous and sad. I’d hate to see how many people are struggling due to their lack of help. Pathetic!!

I am having trouble trying to set an appointment to change my name on my social security card. I wish I could set this appointment online to avoid being on the hold forever!

my wife and daughter were there today and my daughter(a disabled veteran) was treated with utter disrespect, the elderly were treated even worse. people who are handicapped and don't hear very well are skipped and told to get another number an go to the back of the line. The dirtbag who claims to have been in the military needs to step down. he's a disgrace to the rest of us. We the people don't care if you don't like your job or not. Just do it,put on a smile and be professional...If you can't handle it I'm sure there's someone standing in line who would be thankful for your job!!

If I could give this place a lower rating I would. The customer service personnel there are rude. They act as if they are doing you some huge favor even though all they are doing is mailing it off. The building was hot with no A/C and we were told were couldn't bring in water. There were elderly people and they ran out of seat! Horrible... I dread the day I may need to come there for my SS check when I turn 65!
